Combine a mimosa at Lock 16 Café, a historic 1-hour mule pulled boat ride on the I&M Canal Boat, and a 1-hour tour of the historic Hegeler Carus Mansion.

Step back to 1848 and take a ride on the I&M Canal on The Volunteer, a mule-pulled I&M Canal Boat. Meet our guides and hear their stories of life along the canal in 1848, when the I&M Canal first opened and Illinois was a western frontier. After your boat tour come into the Lock 16 Cafe & Gift Shop for lunch and use your voucher to receive a delicious mimosa and brunch.

Then visit the National Historic Landmark, Hegeler Carus Mansion. Experience the grandeur of a bygone era and the heritage of a fascinating family whose history is woven tightly with that of the Illinois Valley and the United States, as well as internationally.
