Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Hike for a Cure

Join hikers on the Veranda as they hike to the top of Starved Rock in support of a cure for breast cancer. Their event will run from 9am - 11am with four guided hikes departing from the Back Door Lounge every 30 minutes. Hikes departing on the half hour include a side trip to beautiful French Canyon. Hikers may choose to participate on their own and depart at any time.

Pre-registration is required. Cost is $20 per person and includes a t-shirt, a light breakfast, a memory hope stone as well as a donation to their local chapter of Relay for Life. They encourage all participants to head to downtown Utica after their hike for Angel of Hopefest. Click here to sign up for Hike for a Cure!

During the month of October Starved Rock Lodge is donating a portion of our "Think Pink" overnight package to Relay for Life - American Cancer Society. Your package includes your room or cabin for two, a $15 breakfast voucher to use in the Dining Room or Cafe, pink fudge, a donation to the cause, and a voucher for either ice cream or an adult lemonade shakeup from the Back Door Lounge. Angel of HopeFest

Angel of HopeFest is a free street party in downtown Utica from noon to 5pm. The event is hosted by the Utica Business Association, August Hill Winery and Team Angels Among Us. There will be drink specials, food, artisan vendors, raffles, 50/50 and live music from Burn N' Bush, Big Uproar and Lizzi Neal Band.
