Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

9th Annual Star Wars Day

The 9th annual Star Wars Day hosted by the Joliet Public Library will be held on Saturday, June 2nd from 11am to 4pm in downtown Joliet. The event will take place at the Joliet Public Library Ottawa Street Branch, Rialto Square Theatre, the Joliet Area Historical Museum, and on Clinton and Chicago streets.

Star Wars Day will feature authors, artists, vendors, and members of Star Wars fandoms from across the country that will come together to make this event special.

Notable events happening during the Star Wars Day event include the Star Wars parade, a Costume Contest, a LightSaber duel, performances from various live bands, and much more!

The event is free, and requires no ticket for entry. Upon arrival at the event, special edition “Jedi Passports” will be available outside of the Library, and will include information about events, food vendors, and sponsors.

Some food vendors for the event include The Blue Taco, TCBY, Beach Bums Tropical Sno, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Parmesans Wood Stone Pizza, and more!
