Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Kick-Off Your Joliet Summer with Local Music, Theatre, and Festivals at Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park and Theatre

Crowd settling in at Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park

Bicentennial Park will host their 45th annual season of FREE outdoor concerts on the hill every Thursday at 6:30 pm, from June through the end of August. Come relax with family and friends and enjoy free entertainment in the beautiful park along the river! This summer will feature new acts and returning favorites. Bring blankets and chairs for hill seating, or chairs will be available for $1 rent. Concessions will also be available, so grab yourself a Billie hot dog, a cold beer and stake out your favorite spot on the hill.

Also in June, Bicentennial Park will feature special performances of Monty Python’s Spamalot, telling the legendary tale of King Arthur’s quest to find the Holy Grail. Dates for the musical include Friday performances on June 14th & 21st at 7pm, Saturday performances on June 15th & 22nd  at 7pm, and Sunday performances on June 16th & 23rd at 2pm. Tickets are just $15 for adults, or $10 for students.
